Flak to black

I was delighted for Stuart Gallagher that the ride in his Aston Martin DBX has improved (Fast Fleet, evo 289). It’s just a pity that the lighter wheels required for this improvement had to be black.

It’s very rare, in my view, that black wheels look good, and this is a prime example of them making an attractive car look pretty rubbish.

I’m not sure who started the black wheel fetish, but I wish they’d resisted the urge. They’re not cool. Simon Astley, Rickmansworth, Herts
