The cult of Porsche

Thank god for Harry Metcalfe, the only evo writer not to pick a Porsche as the number one car in his Perfect 10. I imagine you’ll be sacking him now for failing to toe the company line, like a naughty MP ignoring the party whip!

I do worry that evo is actually a Porsche cult that I’ve inadvertently stumbled into and become part of, without actually understanding the final aim. One day I expect a call asking me to attend an isolated ranch where all evoers can ascend to Porsche heaven in an apocalyptic event.

While I’m on – I don’t care how good the new 911 incarnation is: it’s just too big and fat!
