Not GT enough

I must disagree with your choice of winner in your recent sporting GT group test (evo 290). If I was in the market for such a car, then power, handling and driving enjoyment would of course be imperative for me. But the prime factor for a sporting GT – GT by definition meaning a car for long-distance driving – is very good comfort!

Any uncomfortable sporting GT is not a GT, it’s just sporting! And the Roma, by Peter Tomalin’s admission, is ‘the most tiring to drive for long distances’ and thus should have been at the bottom of the finishing order,

with arguably just three stars. Five stars for its sporting abilities, perhaps, but no way as a GT!
