New names and small tweaks to ace A110

-

IT’S MID-LIFE UPDATE TIME FOR Alpine’s sublime A110 sports car, which means some new model names, an engine tweak, a new infotainment system and an optional carbonfibre aero kit and Cup 2 tyres for the S.

The range now reads A110, GT and S, with Pure and Légende retired. The £49,905 249bhp base car is left untouched mechanically but like all models in the range gains a new 7-inch touchscreen with Apple Carplay and

Android Auto. The £59,355 GT has the standard chassis but the S-spec version of the 1.8-litre turbocharged four, which now has 296bhp and 251lb ft – up from 288bhp and 236lb ft. It also gets larger Brembo brakes and 18-inch wheels. Finally the range-topping £59,995 S model has that same engine but with the stiffer and lower chassis set-up from before. It’s also available with an optional aero kit, which adds 21kg, and a set of Michelin’s Cup 2 tyres.
