‘For the last two years Covid has curtailed my ability to travel for work, and this image shows why I miss it so much. This shot from 2016 is of a Nissan Navara in the sand dunes of Morocco, with Henry Catchpole at the wheel, for a story about the old Paris-dakar route.’

Morgan Aero 8 (above)

‘I shot this Morgan Aero 8 for

evo in a car park in the Elan Valley after some serious rain.

I used the puddle reflection opportunity and added some flash on the tree to the left for a bit of colour, and some more flash to add a bit of drama on a gloomy day.’

‘When you’re doing a travel story then atmosphere is just as important as the car itself. This is another image from the Paris-dakar route photoshoot with Henry Catchpole, so we were out in the Moroccan desert. It was super clear and we got lucky with where the Milky Way was that night.’

Mazda CX-30 in Kazakhstan (right)

‘Shot for Mazda on the road to the Singing Dune of Altyn Emel in Kazakhstan. The dune itself – which emits a chorus-like sound as the wind moves the sand – wasn’t that interesting to look at, but the dirt road and dust trail in low light offered a great drone shot opportunity.’
