T for tough

Digging through my back copies of evo I came across issue 041 from March 2002, which had a feature on the then new MG TF. I was delighted to find that I am the current owner of the car used in the article, which proclaimed in the pullquote that the model felt ‘somehow tougher than before'.

To prove the astonishing foresight of your great magazine, the car is still going strong. It was first registered to the MG Rover press fleet on 12 January 2002 and even after 20 years and 57,000 miles is still looking fresh, as the photo of it today [above] testifies. Seamus Doyle
