Down with the dirty

I’ve noticed the inclusion of more dirty cars in evo recently. This is something I’ve longed for: photographs of cars in the wild being used.

Not neglected, unwashed cars – that’s different. Cars that have been on an adventure wear it differently. You can see how aero changes the way dirt sticks to the car. From the stripe of brown up the rear of an Escort Cosworth, to runs of muddy water over the arches of a GR Yaris or through the vents of a 911; tell-tale trails on a well-driven Mclaren maybe, or something equally desirable that you only usually see immaculately presented.

Let’s celebrate cars with a story and show some hard won dirt to go with it. Darren Cheesbrough
