It was good to hear of the forthcoming Lotus Eletre SUV (evo 297). It looks smart and starts Lotus on its journey to having only electrified drivetrains, while the quoted 600bhp-plus and supercar-territory 0-62mph time ensure it befits the brand. In the über-competitive luxury SUV market, the Lotus name will hopefully have a magnetic pull for customers.

One thing I would say is that perhaps Lotus could give this SUV some alternative powertrain options to widen its appeal further. A hydrogen-based variant would surely be worth a look.
