Vanessa Red­grave is tread­ing the boards at the Noel Cow­ard the­atre this Oc­to­ber +pre­views from Septem­ber, in a new two-part play, The In­her­i­tance. In­spired by E. M. Forster’s clas­sic nov­el­turned-film, Howard’s End, the play ex­plores the lives and re­la­tion­ships of three gen­er­a­tions of gay men in New 1ork af­ter the rav­ages of early Aids. Di­rected by The Crown’s Stephen Daldry, the multi-lay­ered play is at turns poignant, funny and en­er­getic. Poldark’s ?yle Soller joins Red­grave on stage along­side young talent.
