And the answers are… In the October issue I asked readers about the Cat and Mouse Act of 1913. Well, two readers – Deborah Ryan from Huddersfield and J. Wright from London – both managed to tell me that this act was all about the suffragette hunger strikers and preventing them from dying in prison by allowing them to be released if they were extremely weak.
