The take-away?
There are two key, valuable lessons that we can learn from David's research.
1. You might need to look at several websites and in several archives in order to trace the will you need. However taking a methodical approach, tracking down all the possible courts in which your ancestor's will might have been proved, will help you succeed in locating it
2. You may find that the handwriting looks a little daunting to start with, but don’t be deterred. Your palaeography skills will improve with practice, practice, practice
