US and Canada newspapers removed from FindMyPast

An enquiry from Shropshire-based researcher Martin James to Findmypast, after he was unable to access US and Canada newspapers at the genealogy site, has led to the discovery that Findmypast no longer hold digitised newspapers for these two countries. The message that Martin received from the site stated that the newspapers had been hosted by an external source and the agreement had ended. Findmypast further stated that they are investing in most-requested records, including newspapers with the British Library and the 1921 Census.
