Celebrating Armed Forces Day 2022

Saturday 25 June will see communities across the UK hold events to celebrate www.armedforcesday.org.uk. Discover how you can join in, find an event near you, and learn about the Family Tree online military ancestors competition, open to all

To help celebrate Armed Forces Day 2022 Family Tree is proud to be organising two competitions, to encourage people to remember and research their Armed Forces family members from times past. The first competition is aimed at people new to military ancestor research, and the second for next steps research. They will provide prompts and steps to encourage people to trace the lives of their Armed Forces family members, and are open to people of all ages. The competitions will be promoted in branches of Southern Coop and Think Ford, and are also accessible at the Family Tree website.
