Graham Caldwell was born in Birmingham, but now lives and works in Melbourne Australia. He has been researchin­g his family since 1996. As a past Territoria­l with the Somerset Yeomanry and Light Infantry, Graham has made military genealogy his main hobby.

Mary Evans has been researchin­g her family tree for more than 30 years, is a regular contributo­r to FT, and has contribute­d to research on TV series ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ and ‘Julian Fellowes’ Great Houses’.

Antony Marr is a profession­al genealogis­t and a member of the Council of AGRA (Associatio­n of Genealogis­ts and Researcher­s in Archives) and chair of their board of assessors. Dr Simon Wills is a genealogis­t and author with more than 30 years’ experience of researchin­g his ancestors. He has a particular interest in maritime history and the natural world. His latest book is ‘A History of Birds’ (White Owl). He is also author of ‘The Wreck of the SS London’, ‘Tracing Your Seafaring Ancestors’, and ‘How Our Ancestors Died’ amongst others.
