Name: Suborna Age: Eight Lives: Bangladesh SUBORNA had cataracts in her eyes and couldn’t see the board at school.

Be­fore Suborna’s op­er­a­tion, her fa­ther said: “Her eyes are rolling and she can­not fo­cus on things. She can­not read prop­erly and she has to use her hands.” Af­ter the surgery, Suborna said: “I am feel­ing well. I can see bet­ter than be­fore the op­er­a­tion. Pre­vi­ously I couldn’t see clearly. Now I can see more clearly. I am feel­ing happy…”

Sight­savers, sup­ported by the UK Gov­ern­ment, has launched a fi­nal push to­wards pro­vid­ing a mil­lion cataract op­er­a­tions. The Mil­lion Mir­a­cles UK Aid Match ap­peal sup­ports pro­jects in Pak­istan, Bangladesh and else­where.
