Setback for wildlife

First News - - WORLD NEWS -

China has partially reversed a ban on the use of rhino horn and tiger bones in both medical research and traditional medicine. Scientists say that neither rhino horn nor tiger bone cure diseases, and have no medicinal value. While the new rules say that the materials must be obtained from farmed animals, conservationists say that China has opened the floodgates for illegal poaching – a major setback for endangered wildlife populations.
