FAO funds fish farming projects in Sudan
THE Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) is giving 430 million Euros to Sudan to upgrade and promote its fish farming in the country. FAO will also provide technical and logistical support to tap Sudan’s natural riches.
Sudanese minister for Animal Resources and Pastures Dr Musa Tibin Musa underlined the importance of the introduction of modern technologies in fish farming to increase production and productivity, especially in fresh waters, as a key to food security.
