Top aqua­cul­ture line-up for Lon­don health sum­mit

AQUA­CUL­TURE is to be in­cluded for the first time in the an­nual An­i­mal Health In­vest­ment Fo­rum, which is be­ing held in Lon­don in Fe­bru­ary.

Se­nior in­dus­try fig­ures have agreed to take part in the meet­ing, to ad­dress is­sues such as sus­tain­abil­ity in aqua­cul­ture.

Marine Har­vest CEO Alf-Helge Aarskog, Skret­ting man­ag­ing di­rec­tor Steven Raf­ferty and Phar­maq CEO Morten Nord­stad will take part in a panel dis­cus­sion, chaired by Avrim Lazar, di­rec­tor gen­eral of the Global Salmon Ini­tia­tive.

Also booked to speak at the event are Jeff Sim­mons, pres­i­dent of Elanco, who will tackle the chal­lenges of an­tibi­otic re­sis­tance, and Hans Dit­trich, vice pres­i­dent of MSD An­i­mal Health.

The two-day fo­rum of­fers net­work­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties and op­er­ates a scheme of pre-sched­uled pri­vate meet­ings.

The venue is the Mil­len­nium Ho­tel in May­fair, and the dates are Fe­bru­ary 22-23, 2017.
