Prize hat-trick for SSC

THE Scot­tish Sal­mon Com­pany (SSC) won three awards at the High­lands & Is­lands Food and Drink Awards, recog­nis­ing its achieve­ments in ex­port­ing, in­no­va­tion and new prod­uct de­vel­op­ment.

SSC was named win­ner of the Ex­port Award and in the In­no­va­tion and New Prod­uct Award cat­e­gory for its Na­tive He­bridean Sal­mon, at a cer­e­mony in In­ver­ness last month.

Craig An­der­son, chief ex­ec­u­tive, said: ‘To win three awards is a fan­tas­tic achieve­ment.We are very proud to have been recog­nised for our com­mit­ment not just to prove­nance and in­no­va­tion, but in help­ing to grow the im­pact of Scot­land’s food and drink in­dus­try around the world.

‘To win in the New Prod­uct cat­e­gory for our Na­tive He­bridean Sal­mon is par­tic­u­larly spe­cial for us.’
