Though it’s been a key area of R&D interest for years, smart clothing found its way into the mainstream market in 2018. You can now get Alexa-enabled heated jackets that will warm you up on voice command, vests that do all the work of a hightech fitness watch, or yoga pants with haptic feedback.
One of our favourites this year was the Kjus ski jacket. It uses Bluetoothenabled technology to pump out sweat by applying electrical pulses. It promises to keep your base layers dry and prevent post-activity chills, even on energetic ski treks.
