Nissan’s second electric car

-

Just over a decade ago Nissan was one of the first manufacturers to popularise electric cars with the Leaf. Now they have an all-new second model on its way called the ARIYA, which looks to be a big technological leap ahead of the Leaf. It’s said to offer nearly 500km (310 miles) of range, a four-wheel drive system modelled on the sporty Skyline, and fast charging when plugged into the right system. The car isn’t fully autonomous yet, though it can handle motorways. Down the line, Nissan hopes to introduce automated overtaking, lane diversions and a piloted exit from the motorway. We can’t wait to get behind the wheel.
