CINNAMON MAY HELP THOSE WITH PREDIABETES

-

Around seven million people in the UK have prediabetes, a condition that occurs when blood sugar levels are raised and can often lead to the development of type 2 diabetes. But now, a 12-week study carried out by researchers at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, Massachusetts, has found that taking a 500mg tablet of cinnamon three times a day may help to lower blood glucose levels and improve the body’s response to eating a meal with carbohydrates. While the study was small, it could help inform further research.
