THE GOOD STUFF
PRODUCTS WE LOVE
01 DUOTONE UNIT D/LAB
Duotone were early adopters of the increasingly popular Aluula material, feeding them into their D/LAB products and enjoying plenty of positive feedback. So, this latest incarnation of the Unit D/LAB comes off the back of a good chunk of design experience with the material. Ergonomically shaped for enhanced rider comfort and performance – definitely one to consider if you’re in the market for a new wing…
02 FLITELAB* AMP
When any brand’s remit is “unconstrained by rules and conformity”, we’re gonna sit up and take notice, because it both sounds cool and also generally leads to some pretty exciting results. Flite’s recently emerged sub-brand’s first release is the AMP range of assisted take-off options. Being as Flite have been in the electric foil business from the start, if you’re in the “assist” market, this is well worth your attention…
03 ARMSTRONG HA FOIL RANGE
Building on the legacy of Armstrong’s first HA (high aspect) foils initially released all the way back in 2021, the new HA range offers a pretty unprecedented combination of rippability, easy pumping and endless glide that expands the potential of intermediate to expert surf, downwind and wing foilers. The seven sizes available delivers a full quiver of options.
04 RRD BLAZE FRONT WING 1100
Few wings are as appropriately named as are RRD’s new BLAZE wings, built as they are for high performance freestyle wave and slalom riding. Pitched toward the more advanced rider, these wings have an improved profile to achieve more efficiency and glide by reducing the thickness and chord. Highly maneuverable and apparently go like filth off a shovel.
05 NAISH GLIDER HA
Landing pretty much at the same time as this issue, Naish’s new Glider High Aspect pumping foil is built for effective dock starts and low resistance lightwind downwinders, a great choice for riders looking for effortless glide over long distances. Released in sizes 1400 and 1800cm2.
06 FOIL DRIVE MAX SPORT BATTERY
After releasing the Foil Drive Gen2, Foil Drive have now announced the new, smaller battery for the Assist MAX, the MAX Sport Battery. For those wanting to lighten the load, the Sport Battery jumps on the scales at a meagre 1.8kg (3.9lbs). And – we have it on good authority – the Slim Endurance and Travel Batteries are coming soon…
07 CORE ROAMER S
CORE’s progressive new wingfoil board gets its “S” from being the sportiest model in the brand’s range. Inspiration was gleaned from skateboards for this one, and that low weight, agile and highly maneuverable feel is clear once you’re on board. Designed and built in Europe, it comes off the factory floor with the ever-present CORE seal of quality.
08 SIFLY HYDROFOIL V3
The Hydrofoil V3 from SiFly enters the eFoil market. This latest incarnation features a shorter fuselage, adjustable rear stabilizer, and the opportunity to add an “auxiliary stabilizer” if you feel you need it, which helpfully ensures that the forces exerted between the rider and hydrofoil remain in near-perfect equilibrium, meaning a balanced ride and less nose dives into the briney.
09 OMEN STIFFY
Oh, how we sniggered at the name. But beyond the chuckles, there’s some serious thinking gone into this new mast from the crew at Omen, and no expense was spared in using the best available materials, tooling, and precision manufacturing techniques and, ultimately, giving it an enviable stiffness to weight ratio. Wearing it loud and proud, this mast is Stiffy by name, and stiffy by nature…
10 PROLIMIT WINGFOIL SESSION BOARDBAG
Let’s be clear – we love a bit of luggage here at Foiling Magazine. Prolimit's new Wingfoil Session Boardbag is built as a go-to travel option that isn’t unnecessarily bulky and yet still retains a good amount of padding to keep your gear safe from the inescapable pummelings it’ll receive in transit. Also features a padded internal organizer to keep your foil bits and bobs handy too.
11 PWR-FOIL DEEP GREEN PRO CARBON BIAX BOARD
The Deep Green Pro Carbon Biax is PWR-Foil’s new limited-edition eFoil board, engineered and built in France and made of an EPS HD foam, PVC construction, and Carbon Biax. Playful, agile, sturdy, and nice and light thanks to its Carbon Biax construction, it comes available in 74, 85 and 97L volumes.
12 AXIS SPITFIRE 1180
Marking itself out from the rest of the Spitfire range with its slightly increased camber, offering a nudge more lift, the 1180 is proving popular with those entering the downwind discipline, but also turns its hand nicely for those wanting an easy dockstart, pumping, or lightwind wingfoil option. Well-balanced, smooth, it’ll quickly become a rider’s best friend.
