Circle of (French) Friends
Do you love France and all things French but perhaps don’t speak the language? At our friendly, social evenings we speak English! Cercle Amical de Ringwood, which has been meeting since the early 1980s, is based in the market town of Ringwood on the edge of the New Forest National Park. We meet on the second Friday of most months for social gatherings and interesting talks or films, with a ‘French connection’.
Our new season begins on Friday 12 October 2018, when we meet for cheese and wine - French of course! This season’s programme includes an evening of French chansons, when our singer will invite audience participation, an illustrated and virtual ‘Paris Promenade’ by a local historian, the art and music of Paris at the end of the 19th century and the story of Brittany Ferries. Weather permitting, we play pétanque (boules) as well as organising other social gettogethers. We also run a conversation group on the fourth Friday of the month for those who would like to improve their French language skills.
See ringwoodcercle.org.uk for more information.you will be sure of a very warm welcome.
