What’s so special about Antibes?

French Property News - - Real Life -

Cultural history: Picasso lived here (hence the impressive Musée Picasso), Monet painted here, and many other painters and writers made homes here, including Graham Greene and Scott Fitzgerald.

The old town: Antibes still has its old town walls rising out of the sea, so it offers all the delights of a traditional French town but with the benefit of three sandy beaches, the largest marina in the Med, and worldclass galleries, shops and restaurants.

Marché Provencal: There’s an antiques market on Saturday, a clothes market on Sunday, a night craft market in summer, and the famed daily Marché Provençal for fresh produce and tasty local delicacies such as Socca, a peppered chickpea pancake.
