Horse trials dates announced
Nunney International Horse Trials, one of the most highly anticipated equestrian events of the year, is set to take place on June 14, 15, and 16 at Southfield House near Frome.
The event promises to be an unforgettable experience for spectators and trials enthusiasts, with several top-class international riders set to compete in what is sure to be an exciting preview of the competition at this summer’s Olympic Games in Paris, July 26-August 11.
The event takes place by kind permission of Mrs Angela Yeoman at her Somerset home, Southfield House, which provides a backdrop for the main showjumping competition.
The cross country action takes place in the rolling hills of the Somerset countryside.
Spectators are welcome to attend with well-behaved dogs on leads, and there will be a range of trade stands selling a wide range of products, as well as a dedicated catering corner.
Bridget Parker, the organiser of Nunney International Horse Trials, said: “We are excited to welcome spectators back for another year of top-class equestrian action.
“With over 600 horse and rider combinations set to compete, it’s going to be a fantastic event that should not be missed.”
The event kicks off on the Friday with all the intermediate classes, followed by BE100 and Novice classes on the Saturday, and the two star and three star international classes taking place on the Sunday.
Entry for spectators is £10 on the Friday, and £15 per car on the Saturday and Sunday, with tickets available on the day.
