New Point & Click Sci-Fi Comedy sequel is coming soon

-

Vagabond Starship is the next sci-fi outing from indie developer Stand Off Software and follows the continuing exploits of Sir Typhil and his ragtag crew. The game follows on from Alien Function, which I'll review below, and features an all-new storyline, meaning that playing the series's previous titles is unnecessary.

Story-wise the game sees the crew of the Starship Spearhead heading for home, but after a battle with space pirates, they find their ships supply of rutabaga (or swedes to non-American readers) severely depleted. Rutabaga is the fuel source that powers the Spearhead and without enough to make it home, our crew must traverse unknown worlds facing varying dangers around every corner as they seek to find enough of this elusive and rare commodity.

As with the other titles in the franchise, the games will be fully voice-acted, and this time you'll be able to choose your landing party, which the developer promises will alter your experience and the puzzles you face.

The game is for release sometime later this year, and we'll bring you a full review upon its release.
