Should berries follow blooms on my fence-trained pyracantha?

AIf your pyracantha blooms well it should fruit, as long as you don’t prune off the flower clusters. The most likely reason for a lack of berries is that the plant is suffering from drought. Fences often prevent rain from reaching the soil, so more frequent watering may help. Apply rose fertiliser each July to help feed the plant, and mulch to preserve soil moisture.
