Layer in multipurpose compost to ⅔ depth. 4 FILL THE FRONT Position the shorter euphorbia and leucothoe in the middle and plant the trailing ivy at the front. Fill the spaces with the orange chrysanths. 2 PLANT BY HEIGHT AND SHAPE Place the skimmia at the back, and the carex to the side, where it can cascade over the edge of the barrel. 5 TOP UP THE COMPOST AND WATER IN Fill the gaps between the plants with compost and firm down. Water well and place the barrel in a part-shady spot where it can be admired!
