Don’t forget...
LOOK FOR ROT Check over tubers, fruits and vegetables that are in storage for signs of rot and mould. Maintain good air circulation in greenhouses to help stave off fungal diseases such as grey mould. WATCH FOR WEEDS If the weather is mild, watch out for annual weeds such as hairy bitter cress germinating and hoe them off promptly to keep them at bay. BOOST LIGHT Wipe down the glass on greenhouses and cold frames to maximise light for the plants that are overwintering inside. KNOCK OFF SNOW Snow can weigh down branches causing damage and spoiling the shape of plants, so gently shake or brush it off.
