Choose seeds from around the world
TANTALISE YOUR TASTEBUDS this year by extending the range of edibles you grow to take in some unusual and flavoursome crops from across the globe. If you haven’t tried growing Mexican cucamelons, French artichokes, Italian beefsteak tomatoes, Thai lemon grass or Japanese mooli radishes, your palette is in for a treat. Even though some of these crops originate from half a world away, those featured here are all suitable for cultivating in our UK climate. However, heat-loving chillies, aubergines and sweet corn plants will all fare better grown in a sunny spot, with a warm start in a heated greenhouse or on a sunny window sill. Use our handy guide to choose crops for an international flavour in your own garden.
