This attractive pinkflowered shrub is called Eriostemon myoporoides. It’s a delightful, freeflowering mid-sized shrub that’s easy to care for and evergreen too. With the common name of the longleaf wax flower, it’s very rare in the UK, so you’ll doubtless have gardening friends asking what it is. From late spring and throughout summer, its compact, dwarf form becomes awash with sparkling white choisyalike flowers that erupt from cerise-pink buds, rivalling daphnes for scent.
