Caring for narcissus

For a good display in future years: l Always allow foliage to die back naturally so bulbs can replenish their nutrients. l Feed clumps in spring to boost performance. Choose a general fertiliser low in nitrogen, or a scattering of seaweed meal. l Rejuvenate ‘blind’ clumps by lifting, separating and replanting in early summer while the brown leaves are still visible.
