WILDLIFE GARDEN JOBS FOR MARCH

-

1 HELP NESTERS Leave little piles of twigs and moss around the garden for birds to use for nest building. You can even buy sheep’s wool. Hang the materials in a clean wire fat ball feeder.

2 SOW A MEADOW Use plug trays and seed compost to sow wildflower seeds from scratch. Dot them into lawns later in autumn to flower the following year.

3 MULCH FLOWER BEDS

A topdressing of compost from last year’s compost bin will reduce the amount of watering you have to do in summer, as well as giving a boost of nutrients.
