Q Why doesn’t my Trachelospermum jasminoides flower very much?
A Now that your star jasmine has covered the fence, it should start to flower more freely, as long as you don’t prune it too much. Its position against a south-facing fence seems perfect, but clay soils aren’t as good as lighter soils, so it’s worth digging in some grit, sand and well-rotted compost to improve the soil. I feel sure your patience will be rewarded soon!
