Michael had struggled with his hearing for 20 years, but the sounds he loves, like birdsong and the sound of his g ra ndchildren playing are now much clearer thanks to A mplifon, the experts dedicated to helping people hear better since 1950.

“We look after our threeyea r- old g ra ndson for two days a week, but I was struggling to hear what he was saying and my wife, Carol, would have to repeat it to me,” Michael says. “Now I hear everything clearly .”

“When my grand son creeps up to the sofa behind me a nd whispers tome I can hear him now. He knows I got new hearing aids and being able to pick up ever y word he says is just brilliant. I can even heart he starlings, which is wonderful .”

Michael’ s hearing problems can be traced back to his army days, before hearing defenders came into use on the rifle range. His later work in the motor trade involved using air chisels and air guns without covering his ears. That’s when he began to wear hearing aids.

The big difference though ca me when he discovered A mplifon. “The testing process was brilliant, very thorough and the audiologist explained ever y thing and showed me the results on a graph ,” he says. “What really impressed me was that I was able to trial the hearing aids first before I committed to ordering them, I’ve never had that before. I had them for two weeks and they were brilliant so when I went back I said I definitely wanted them.”

Since he started wearing his new hearing aids, Michael has found huge differences, whether he is looking after his grandchildren or social sing in his local pub.

“They’re the latest model so they give a much clearer sound, which has made a huge d if ference to me,” he says. “There a re two setting s so if I’m in a crowded place, like our local pub, and there’ s background noise I can switch them over so I can hear better. I’ve also found I don’t need the TV turned up as high at home, which Carol is pleased about.

We’ re also going to be looking after our second grandchild soon so it will be important that I can hear everything that both my g ra ndchildren say, a nd A mplifon has helped me do that .” Michael has also been impressed with the after care offered by his local branch.

“A mplifon have made sure my hearing aids are just right, which has been brilliant ,” he says. “I know I ca n phone them up if I need to see my audiologist and they’ ll make time to see me and make any adjustments I may need. Before I’d struggled in conversations and I didn’ t always hear exactly what was said. I might heart he first two words but I’d miss the others, so I’d have to guess what people were saying. Now I don’t have to do that anymore, which is great .”

Michael is one of many people A mplifon has helped in more than 22 countries worldwide. Their ultra-small and discreet digital hearing aids are packed with clever technology. Together with their expert audiologists, you’ re sure to find the best solution for your needs, lifestyle a nd budget.

Michael says he wouldn’t hesitate to recommend A mplifon to anyone .“Tome, they are the best, for their politeness and friendliness and their willingness to explain everything ,” he says. “I’d say if you have hearing problems go for a test with A mplifon.”

“I can even hear the starlings which is wonderful.”
