This cow parsley has purple-black stems and foliage with a froth of airy white flowers. H: 1m (3¼ft), S: 30cm (1ft).
Geranium ‘Ann Folkard’
This cranesbill produces a mass of blackeyed and veined magenta flowers from June to the frosts. Has light green foliage. H: 60cm (2ft), S: 1m (3¼ft).
Penstemon heterophyllus ‘ True Blue’
Bees and butterflies love the bright blue, pink-blushed trumpets that appear from June-August. H: 60cm (2ft), S: 45cm (1½ft).
Clematis ‘Gillian Blades’
Flowering twice in a season, this largeflowered clematis has white, star-shaped flowers tinged with palest blue. H: 2.5m (8ft), S: 1m (3¼ft).
Sambucus nigra ‘Eva’
Tiny clusters of pale pink flowers emerge between the black, lacy foliage from MayJune. Maroon berries follow. Cut right back in autumn. H: 3m (10ft), S: 2m (6½ft).
