Signal the start of spring with breathtaking carpets of some of our hardiest native flowers. Inspired by the wealth and diversity of ancient woodlands, we’ve combined the most coveted woodland-dwelling perennials to sprinkle your own garden with a little magic.

All these wonderful plants have been sustainably sourced, and are all UK-grown, fully hardy perennials.

Average height and spread is 10-30cm (4-12in). This selection prefers semi-shaded sites.

Plants will be supplied ‘in the green’ from mid-March – the best time to plant! Galanthus nivalis AGM (English snowdrop)

Perfect for planting under trees, snowdrops will quickly form dense, rounded clumps of maintenance-free, vibrant colour. Each stem presents elegant, dangling flowers intricately detailed with green markings.

Hyacinthoides nonscripta (English bluebell)

This quintessentially British native features glaucous leaves and powder-blue, delicate bells which swing from ink-blue arching stems. In time they’ll self-seed and create a stunning blue carpet.

Eranthis hyemalis AGM (winter aconite)

Tufts of bright buttercup-yellow miniature goblets top deeply cut and divided fresh green leaves. Aconites as they’re affectionately known, are perfect for placing under trees and between shrubs to draw the eye.

Galanthus nivalis pleniflorus ‘Flore Pleno’ AGM (double snowdrop)

Get up close and you realise the lavish opulence of the special, yet modest, double snowdrop. Their heavily-pleated blooms add an air of opulence to any garden setting or pot.
