Dispose of infected fruit tree leaves

Fallen leaves can be real harbouring grounds for pests and disease, the perfect way of spreading any nasties even further. Check for discoloured, infected, fallen leaves – such as quince leaf blight in this case – and discard immediately in the rubbish and not in the compost. Other fungal diseases include pear rust, easily identified as bright orange-rusty patches on pear leaves.
