A late addition…

Garden News (UK) - - WHAT TO DO THIS WEEK -

The problem of having an allotment is that gifts of plants regularly come your way and it’s difficult to refuse them! Last week my son had a tray of sweet Williams spare and gave them to me. I grow a few flowers on the plot as my wife loves fresh cut blooms for the house. It’s rather late to plant these but the ground still seems to have a little warmth in it. There was a spare patch of ground that hadn’t been green manured so it was too inviting not to plant them. I only hope they establish and provide a few bunches in late spring. But the next problem will be in the future when these are in full flower and stop my crop rotation plan being fully implemented!

I’ve found a small patch for some sweet Williams
