Early-Flowering Varieties Vin Aldred

‘Rae Boon’, 29c OC/white. This lovely early-flowering, double spray with a nice off-white colour should do well for showing, garden decoration or cut flowers. Rae is a former president of the South Wales Group NCS.

‘Pamela Hardy’, 29d red. A fine red, early-flowering single, this should do well at the shows or for garden decoration or cut flowers in the home.

Halls of Heddon

l ‘Tonto’, 29d red. Bred by Rod Fox, this early, red single is good for showing or cut flower and garden decoration.

Denton Chrysanthe­mum Society

‘ Yellow Edina’, 29d yellow. This yellow sport from pink spray variety ‘Edina’ is good for showing and for garden decoration or cutting.

‘Primrose Billy Bell’, 15a light yellow.

With the same neat form as its parent and far superior to the yellow sport this large, intermedia­te primrose sport from Alan Smith is going to be much sought after. It’s available from John Peace and Chrysanthe­mums Direct.

Late-Flowering Varieties Tim Bosworth

‘Anderton Days’, 6b OC/white. This lovely off-white coloured anemone was raised by Eric Anderton.

‘Anderton Holcombe’, 6b yellow. Eric

Anderton also produced this nice yellow anemone.

Ivor Mace

‘Rob Weekley’, 1 bronze. Bred by John Nevill, this new large exhibition variety is named after top grower Rob Weekley, who passed away earlier this year. A large bronze reminiscen­t of ‘Gigantic’, it won the seedling class at the 2017 national show. Stop mid-May and use a 25cm (10in) pot.

‘Golden Sheila Harris’, 3b yellow. This sport of popular ‘Sheila Harris’ was sported with David Serles of Worksop.
