Recycle your Christmas tree

There’s no need for wastage when it comes to your old Christmas tree. You’ve got lots of prime organic material and compost fodder right there on your doorstep! If you’d rather someone else took care of it, contact your council or garden centre to take part in their tree recycling schemes. Otherwise you can take time to saw off its limbs and add them to your green waste bin, or hire a wood chipper and make yourself some valuable wood chippings – the perfect mulch or compost addition.
