Check stored apples

-

Apples being stored over winter need checking weekly to make sure they’re in good condition and not starting to rot. Storage time is different for every variety and the conditions also affect how quickly or slowly they ripen. The cooler the conditions, the longer the fruits will last. Those in a fridge where the temperature is a constant few degrees last longer than those in a shed where temperatures fluctuate. Any fruits starting to rot need removing straight away.
