Plan new border shapes

Now’s the time, while your borders are more bare, to assess the shape of them. They may need a neaten up, or you may want to enlarge them, perhaps with a wiggly line instead of a straight one, which can really add interest to your garden. Curved borders tend to make your garden seem longer. Use a plank and a lawn edger to neaten off, or lay a hosepipe in the shape you want before edging off. Use the turf scraps to fill in any gaps.
