Stretch string line along the mark the position of posts with canes – the distance depends on the width of panels.

Dig out 45cm (1½ft) deep holes for each post, ensuring they are three times the width of posts. On soft ground, make holes slightly deeper.

Put a post into a hole, half fill with water and tip in Postcrete. Hold in place until set by tacking to a ba en hammered into the ground. Fix gravel boards to the base by screwing an L-shaped bracket to the inside of each post, 10cm (4in) above the ground. Slide in boards and secure. Screw two U-shaped brackets to the inside of each post, 15cm (6in) from the top and the bo om. Slip in panel
