ALLOTMENT

- I’ve got some whopping parsnips!

Star of BBC Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine Show and best-selling author. His allotment sits in the Rhondda Valley plots and see what my fellow allotmente­ers are growing. This year the Brussels sprouts, in particular, are doing well. My plants are loaded with firm bu ons from top to bo om. This is also the case with some of the other plots, so quite a few of us are going to have those ‘love them or hate them’ vegetables on our Christmas dinner plate! The frosty conditions are also going to make these sprouts extra tasty this year.
