COSY CANDLES!
To keep my greenhouse frost free, I light a large, slow-burning candle when a low overnight temperature is forecast. It’s on a clay saucer and covered with a clay flowerpot. The warm clay gives off enough heat to keep the greenhouse temperature above freezing. Cheap and easy. Jenny Mollison, Musselburgh, Scotland
Simon says: Certainly beats using an electric heater Jenny, as long as it’s safe! You don’t need to generate too much heat to keep the frost at bay.
