Tracy’s favourite plants...
Phlox paniculata
Tracy loves all types of phlox, in particular P. paniculata, as they smell lovely and remind her of her gran. Cherry-red flowers of ‘Starfire’ are also a favourite.
Eupatorium
The fact they’re tall plants that never need staking appeals to Tracy. She loves the pinkish-mauve flowers of Eupatorium maculatum Atropurpureum Group.
Veronicastrum
Again, Tracy loves them all because they’re tall, gorgeous and don’t need staking. ‘Fascination’ is among her favourites, with its long spikes of rich lilac flowers.
Persicaria
“This is such a varied genus and they’re almost indestructible,” Tracy says. P. polymorpha is top of her list because of its plumes of creamy-white flowers.
