Try growing
These rewarding crops aren’t easily available in shops
If one of your resolutions is to try growing something new in 2021, there are some unusual fruits you’re highly unlikely to see for sale in the supermarket that you can add to the garden and plant now.
The beauty of growing soft fruit is that once planted, they’re with you for the long run, with the potential of harvests for many years to come. Now’s a good time to plant soft fruit if it’s sold ‘bare-rooted’, so long as the soil isn’t frozen or waterlogged. Remember to label the plants well after planting because it’s easy to misidentify or step on the plants when they’re still ‘twigs’!
