Sow beans and peas

While you can sow hardier beans and peas outside, they’ll come up against a whole host of weather problems and pests in their early stages, which can be avoided if you sow them in modules in the greenhouse. Plus the less hardy varieties can get a nice head start too, and you’ll be able to crop sooner than if you left it all until March. It gives you a bit of control, and you can choose where you want to site them when you plant them out in a couple of months.
